The amazing statue sculptors at NECA have new BioShock figures in the making. The coolest here at Toy Fair 2012 are the ones from BioShock Infinite. The new BioShock game is a long way away, so these won’t be out, a NECA rep said, until Sept. 2012 or so. The game isn’t slated for release until 2012 either. Waiting ain’t easy.
This is part of the BioShock 2 line.

PS3 owners got, for lack of a better term, the royal shaft when it came to getting their platform’s version of BioShock. Not only did said version not arrive until more than a year after the game’s PC and 360 iterations hit store shelves, but it also brought with it a few unsavory friends in the form of graphical problems and full-blown crashes, which it picked up during the porting process. Fortunately, that won’t be the case for Irrational Games’ 2012 entry into the franchise, BioShock Infinite, as the studio has no plans to pass the developmental buck to any [...]

How cool were the water effects in the original BioShock? You probably thought they were stock Unreal Engine 2.5 assets, right? Well, get this. Irrational Games actually developed the water graphics in house! The reason for this is simple. They had to get the water effects correct because it was so critical in selling the underwater city of Rapture. At the end of the day they did a good job. The artists at Irrational Games were successful in making BioShock look UE3 as opposed to UE2.5.
The best part is that irrational has promised a lot in the future as well. [...]

Looks like someone at 2K Games had a little leftover resurrection potion from whatever they used on Duke Nukem Forever because the formerly dead downloadable content for BioShock 2 on PC is alive. It’s coming. Viva PC Gaming Week!
Over on the 2K forums, 2K Elizabeth spreads the news that BioShock 2′s PC patch as well as the Protector Trials and Minvera’s Den downloadable expansions — both of which are out for the console versions of the game — are back in development.
The patch and Protector Trials had been scuttled because they were too buggy when 2K’s deadline for them hit. [...]
